Bloomscapes with Grama Collective

This project is an interactive media performance exploring the journey of the self in an unknown world. Its story unfolds in four chapters, beginning with vulnerability and confusion, and ending in resilience and tranquility. Through sound and image the body traverses different emotional states. It acts and reacts to the media, while at the same time affecting the audiovisual scenery. Improvised elements, which emerge from the interconnectedness of the sonic and visual systems contrast with the choreography and create moments of tension and release. Through the feedback loop between each performer Bloomscapes aims to break the barrier between what is in our control and what is not.

Grama Collective is a new media project studio for performance run by three artists working with different approaches to artistic creation.

Alp Seyrekbasan is a musician, sound designer, and an educator. His audio work focuses on generating evocative atmospheres that use tonal and atonal sounds. Focusing on constant sonic experimentation, he aims to bring what lies inside into the world, and communicate feelings through sound and music.

Coco Torres is a performer, graphic designer, and creative director, working with their body and embracing movement as a mode of expression. Their artistic approach delves into creating narratives that transform into immersive installations designed for live performances. By seamlessly integrating storytelling with their visual and kinetic language, brings a dynamic and captivating dimension to their creations.

Kunal Singh is a visual artist, working with interactive media, video mapping, and generative systems. Curious about the prospect of technology shaping human evolution, his work is an exploration of the symbiotic relationships between humans & machines.
